Applications

Cable reeling drums

Our cable reeling drums are predominantly applied in ports, for example on large cranes. There, they are subject to enormous stresses: high humidity, salty air, extreme wind and weather conditions and continuous usage. These conditions make high demands on both the drum and the cable. Extreme cable flexibility is a must, because it is constantly wound up and down when the crane moves. Additionally the control unit inside the drum needs to reliably provide communication with the crane. For this reason, our Hajomech cable reeling drums are equipped with high-quality fibre optics. Our system solutions for port cranes have been daily proving their worth for years, for example in the port of Shanghai.

Brakes - important in case of emergency

Of course, safety is a major issue in ports. Storms and brawly gusts of wind are common and can severely damage the crane - a great danger for the employees'' health and lives. To prevent accidents in case of emergency, port cranes are usually equipped with brakes. Those devices block the crane as soon as the wind force reaches a certain level. Hajomech can provide different types of brakes depending on the crane set-up and specifications.

Vibrating feeders

The basic principle of a vibrating feeder is simple, but robust. Two vibrating motors create a forwards-backwards-oscillation. This stepwise pushes the material forwards without pulling it back, because the transport trail is slightly going downwards. As a result, the material is moving constantly in one direction. Vibrating feeders are usually applied when big amounts of bulk material have to be handled: coal, stones, gravel or even in food industry, for example crops. Currently, our Hajomech vibrating feeders are working predominantly in power plants.
